Germany: China must improve the safety of export plastic machines

Release time:2022-10-18  Views:

For a long time, the quality of domestic plastic machines has been uneven, with the export taking the quantity first, while the imported plastic machines are all high-quality products with high prices, resulting in a trade deficit. Austria, one of the important partners of China's plastic machine trade, also pointed out that China's medium price plastic machines are most popular with local processing manufacturers. The plastic machine associations of Italy and Germany coincidentally said that China must improve the safety of export plastic machines in order to compete in the international market.

Austria: China's medium price plastic machines are popular

According to the information of the Commercial Department of the Austrian Consulate General in Shanghai, in 2011, Austria's total exports to China increased slightly by 4% to 2.9 billion euros, while China's total exports to Austria increased by 17.7% to 6.4 billion euros in the same period. China can be said to be Austria's most important partner in exporting to Asia. In terms of plastic machinery trade, Austria's imports from China increased by 25% last year, and its exports to China increased by 64%.

Raymund Gradt, Consul of the Austrian Consulate General in Shanghai (Commercial Department), predicted that the growth rate of Austrian plastic machine exports to China this year may not be as strong as that in 2011, but it will remain at a high level. He pointed out that injection molding machines and extruders are most popular with Chinese manufacturers. He believes that Austrian plastic machinery has mastered advanced technology, while Chinese plastic machinery manufacturers still have a certain gap. As China enters the 12th Five Year Plan, emphasizing sustainability, accuracy and energy efficiency, Austrian manufacturers have a very optimistic prospect in China.

On the other hand, Raymund Gradt pointed out that although the level and safety of China's plastic machinery have been greatly improved in recent years, it is still very difficult to face the barrier of exporting to Europe. However, due to the fact that the local production of plastic machines in Austria tends to be more high-tech and expensive, some local small and medium-sized enterprises cannot afford it, so they began to look for cheaper substitutes, so Chinese made plastic machines are very popular. He said: Especially in the middle price market, Chinese companies build plastic machines of the same quality at very low prices.

Raymund Gradt said that although the quality of China's plastic machinery has improved, another problem that Austrian enterprises are worried about is the lack of sales and customer service network of Chinese plastic machinery manufacturers. In addition, he appreciated that Chinese manufacturers, in order to compete with foreign manufacturers, constantly strengthened their R&D capabilities and continuously improved their technical level to meet the requirements of foreign customers.
